Emmy Nomination Predictions: Best Comedy Series

Other Contenders - The Big Bang Theory, The Big C, Nurse Jackie, Raising Hope, Louie, Community, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Entourage, Episodes, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Mike & Molly, Weeds, Desperate Housewives.

Commentary - I have had a lot of trouble with this one, but here I go. There are four locks in this race in my opinion. 30 Rock, Modern Family, Glee, and The Office. They are all Emmy favorites from previous seasons, and three of the four have won before. The win will most likely come down to the same two as last year, Glee vs. Modern Family, with MF most likely taking the prize again. But there are two spots left, and so many options to take them. Last year Nurse Jackie got in, but this season wasn't as good. The Big C could get in instead, but it really is the Laura Linney show, and may have to settle for that. Really it comes down to three shows. Hot in Cleveland is not the greatest show in the world, but it has proven itself with the actors, and its old-school vibe may be enough for it to get in. The Big Bang Theory was great last season, but it has yet to get nominated. So I think instead the show that is most on the rise, Parks & Recreation, will instead reap the benefits of its stellar season and get a nomination. Between today and tomorrow's final list, this category may change, so this is not set in stone.
