State of the Oscar Race - Final Nomination Predictions: Best Film Editing, Sound Editing, and Costume Design

This year, because of the shortened schedule, some of the guilds (CDG, MPSE, and ACE) will not announce their nominees until after the Oscar nominations leaving us blind for Sound Editing, Film Editing, and Costume Design. So I am going to go ahead and take a shot in the dark on these categories:

Best Costume Design
Anna Karenina
Cloud Atlas
Les Miserables
Lincoln
Snow White and the Huntsman

Best Film Editing
Argo
Django Unchained
Les Miserables
Lincoln
Zero Dark Thirty

Best Sound Editing
The Dark Knight Rises
Django Unchained
Les Miserables
Life of Pi
Skyfall

  1. I think that as the years go by, it's harder and harder to pick suitable nominees because there are so many great choices and only five spots available apiece (except for Best Picture of course). This year is no exception. Last year was easy, the previous year was hard and the year before that was particularly easy to me, but this year is difficult because this year had so many great movies that I am having a different time with my final predictions.
