2017 Emmy Nomination Predictions: Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series

2017 Nomination Predictions
Hank Azaria "Ray Donovan"
Dylan Baker "The Good Fight"
Beau Bridges "Masters of Sex"
Gerald McRaney "This is Us"
Denis O'Hare "This is Us"
Ben Mendelsohn "Bloodline"

Other Contenders - David Strathairn "Billions", Lars Mikkelson "House of Cards", Brian Tyree Henry "This is Us", BD Wong "Mr. Robot", Matthew Perry "The Good Fight", John Cameron Mitchell "The Good Fight", Dan Bucatinsky "Scandal", Orlando Jones "American Gods", Reed Birney "House of Cards", Ron Cephas Jones "Mr. Robot", Hal Holbrook "Grey's Anatomy"

Commentary - After all these years, will Gerald McRaney finally get the Emmy recognition he deserves? Let's just say that if This is Us can't get him a nod, I don't know if anything can. Ben Mendelsohn returns to this race after surprisingly winning the Supporting category. He is clearly popular enough to repeat. I think that history will repeat itself with Beau Bridges, Dylan Baker, and Hank Azaria, who has gotten in before with these characters. Finally, after sneaking in so many times for AHS, I think that Denis O'Hare is one to watch for, for This is Us. Beyond that, Oscar nominee David Strathairn is a contender for Billions, Lars Mikkelson and Reed Birney could get in like so many guest stars have for House of Cards before them, Orlando Jons, Dan Bucatinsky, Brian Tyree Henry, Hal Holbrook, and the slew of folks from The Good Fight and Mr. Robot are all in the mix.
