As a Harry Potter fan, I have loved the movie adaptations almost as well as I loved the books. Apparently the 6th installment will continue to satisfy my expectations.
But the question remains, will the Oscars finally reward this franchise?
The track record doesn't look so good. While all the movies have been huge hits, as well as received great reviews, the Academy has only given them a few measly technical nominations, and ignored some altogether.
However, with The Half-Blood Prince, reviews are not just good, not even great, but stellar. With a current 95% Rotten Tomatoes rating, combined with a most likely huge opening weekend at the box office, we should not count of the thoughts of Oscars.
Plus with 10 nominations, which were apparently based on the need to include more audience-friendly movies, what a better place to start than Harry Potter.......
