Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series
Adrien Brody "Succession"
Colman Domingo "Euphoria"
Ron Cephas Jones "This is Us"
James Cromwell "Succession"
Martin Short "The Morning Show"
Alexander Skarsgard "Succession"
Other Contenders - Justin Kirk "Succession", Tom Pelphrey "Ozark", Yul Vazquez "Severance", Richard E. Grant "Loki", Jonathan Pryce "Slow Horses", Arian Moayed "Succession", Robert Englund "Stranger Things", Pedro Pascal "The Book of Boba Fett", Delroy Lindo "The Good Fight"
Commentary - Succession might lead the nominations just on acting nominations alone. I predict that three of their submissions, Adrien Brody, James Cromwell, and Alexander Skarsgard will make the cut. Although don't discount Justin Kirk and Arian Moayed either. I think they all will be chasing Ron Cephas Jones, who has won this category several times for This is Us. Martin Short is hot right now, got nominated for The Morning Show before, and could end up a double acting nominee this year. Finally, maybe just because I want to, I think Colman Domingo, who recently got an Indie Spirits nod, and is really popping up in a lot of projects, will get nominated for his great role in Euphoria. Tom Pelphrey may not have made the cut in Supporting for Ozark, but may break through in Guest. Richard E. Grant and Jonathan Pryce are recent Oscar nominees, Delroy Lindo is always great, Robert Englund is a legend, Pedro Pascal has crossover appeal, and Yul Vazquez is a surprise scene stealer.
Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series
Hope Davis "Succession"
Marcia Gay Harden "The Morning Show"
Sanaa Lathan "Succession"
Harriet Walter "Succession"
Lee Yoo-Mi "Squid Game"
Jacki Weaver "Yellowstone"
Other Contenders - Elaine May "The Good Fight", Jordana Spiro "Ozark", Whoopi Goldberg "Star Trek: Picard", Rosario Dawson "The Book of Boba Fett", Martha Kelly "Euphoria", Margo Martindale "The Good Fight", Bel Powley "The Morning Show", Jane Lynch "The Good Fight", Sophie Okonedo "Slow Horses"
Commentary - Again, Succession is going to dominate these acting awards. Expect Sanaa Lathan, Harriet Walter, and Hope Davis, all fantastic veteran performers to make this race. Squid Game is also a big contender, and if voters love it, Lee Yoo-Mi is definitely in the mix. Marcia Gay Harden has a great role in The Morning Show, and is an Oscar winner. Finally, I think that Jacki Weaver's name recognition, combined with the rise of Yellowstone will end in Emmy nomination glory. Elaine May is a legend, Jordana Spiro is great in Ozark, Rosario Dawson and Star Wars is always a potential, Martha Kelly is fascinating in Euphoria, Bel Powley is great, and then awards-recognized veterans like Margo Martindale, Sophie Okonedo, Jane Lynch, and Whoopi Goldberg could easily get yet another major nomination under their belt.
