2017 Grammy Predictions: Best Spoken Word Album and Comedy Album

Best Comedy Album
Will Win - Amy Schumer "Live at the Apollo"
Could Win - Patton Oswalt "Talking for Clapping" or Tig Notaro "Boyish Girl Interrupted"
Should Win - Oswalt, Schumer, or Notaro
Commentary - Three of today's best comedians fight for the top prize (and Cho and Cross are great too, so its really hard for voters this year). Oswalt won the Emmy, Notaro is clever as hell, but I think that Amy Schumer, who is also nominated in the Spoken Word category will taken this home for Live at the Apollo which is the incredibly popular Schumer at her best.

Best Spoken Word Album
Will Win - Patti Smith "M Train"
Could Win - Carol Burnett "In Such Good Company" or Amy Schumer "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo"
Should Win - Smith or Burnett
Commentary - Did you know that Patti Smith has never won a Grammy Award? M Train is widely considered one of the best audiobooks of 2016, and I think that she will appeal to music lovers and activists within the Recording Academy. But the legendary Carol Burnett is a threat, as is Schumer although I think that she will win the Comedy category, and they won't need to reward her here.
