Should Win - Nicole Byer "Nailed It!" or Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman "Making It"
Commentary - RuPaul has done so well in this category recently, it is crazy to not predict him. But, while Reality and Variety Series often remain stagnant, there is usually a point where they change. It's not predictable when this change happens, which is frustrating. RuPaul has won so many times in a row, it makes me think that he is due to be knocked out of the winner's circle. I think if anyone beats him, it is the guys from Queer Eye, who finally got nominated for this award. For my money, I would love to see Nicole Byer (who not only is great on Nailed It, but has had so many cool roles this year), or the dynamic duo of Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman (Offerman has never won an Emmy, and he is way overdue) take the prize instead. They would be fun and inspired choices for voters.
