2017 Emmy Nomination Predictions - Best Actress in a TV Movie/Limited Series

2017 Nomination Predictions
Carrie Coon "Fargo"
Felicity Huffman "American Crime"
Nicole Kidman "Big Little Lies"
Jessica Lange "Feud: Bette and Joan"
Susan Sarandon "Feud: Bette and Joan"
Reese Witherspoon "Big Little Lies"

Other Contenders - Oprah Winfrey "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" , Lauren Graham "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life", Bryce Dallas Howard "Black Mirror", Andrea Riseborough "Agatha Christie's The Witness for the Prosecution", Alexis Bledel "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life", Maddie Baillio "Hairspray Live!", Joanne Froggatt "Dark Angel", Michelle Williams "Suite Francaise"

Commentary - This race, in my mind, comes down to about nine women for six slots. On the outside, I have Oprah Winfrey, because the film had mixed reactions, Lauren Graham, because they have passed her over so many times, and Bryce Dallas Howard. Despite the SAG nod, I don't if voters are ready to go there, with so many bigger names in the race. So for my six, first you have Felicity Huffman returning because she is a perennial favorite, and Carrie Coon for Fargo, who is just having the year of her career. The other four though, are probably the four that will vie for the prize. Four Oscar winners in the top two Limited Series of the year, Witherspoon, Sarandon, Lange, and Kidman. Voters will have to choose between these four, and good luck to them, but I think in terms of nominations, they are going to be hard to beat.
