2023 Grammy Predictions: R&B

Best R&B Peformance
Will Win - Beyonce "Virgo's Groove"
Could Win - Mary J. Blige feat. Anderson Paak "Here With Me" or Jazmine Sullivan "Hurt Me So Good"
Should Win - Mary J. Blige feat. Anderson Paak "Here With Me"
Commentary - Mary J could sweep here, and Jazmine Sullivan was popular recently with voters. But I am going with Beyonce.

Best Traditional R&B Performance
Will Win - Mary J. Blige "Good Morning Gorgeous"
Could Win - Beyonce "Plastic Off the Sofa"
Should Win - Mary J. Blige "Good Morning Gorgeous"
Commentary - Beyonce could sweep, as usual, but Good Morning Gorgeous did get nominated for Record of the Year, an Beyonce's entry is in another category.

Best R&B Song
Will Win - Beyonce "Cuff It"
Could Win -  Mary J. Blige "Good Morning Gorgeous" and Jazmine Sullivan "Hurt Me So Good"
Should Win - Mary J. Blige "Good Morning Gorgeous"
Commentary - Without a General field not to correspond, I again default to Beyonce.

Best R&B Album
Will Win - Mary J. Blige "Good Morning Gorgeous"
Could Win - Lucky Daye "Candydrip"
Should Win - Mary J. Blige "Good Morning Gorgeous"
Commentary - Album of the Year nomination, and no Beyonce. Mary J is getting at least one Grammy this year.

Best Progressive R&B Album
Will Win - Steve Lacy "Gemini Rights"
Could Win - Cory Henry "Operation Funk"
Should Win - Steve Lacy "Gemini Rights"
Commentary - Steve Lacy broke through in the General category, and has been incredibly popular and pervasive this year. I think he wins over lesser known acts.
