2018 Emmy Nomination Predictions - Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie

2018 Emmy Nomination Predictions
Jeff Daniels "Godless"
Cody Fern "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace"
Edgar Ramirez "American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace"
Peter Saarsgard "The Looming Tower"
Michael Shannon "Fahrenheit 451"
Michael Stuhlbarg "The Looming Tower"

Other Contenders - Bill Camp "The Looming Tower", Ricky Martin ""American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace", Brandon Victor Dixon "Jesus Christ Superstar", Jason Ritter "The Tale", Tahar Rahim "The Looming Tower", Bill Pullman "The Sinner", Michael Kelly "The Long Road Home", Robert Forster "Twin Peaks", Beau Bridges "Mosaic", Dylan Baker "Little Women"

Commentary - I feel pretty safe in my Jeff Daniels and Edgar Ramirez predictions. I also think that despite bad reviews, Oscar-nominee Michael Shannon will make it in for Fahrenheit 451, as he was pretty fantastic in an otherwise so-so film. The Looming Tower is set to do well with Emmy nominations, and two veterans like Michael Stuhlbarg and Peter Saarsgard will appeal to Emmy voters. But that last slot is tricky. The Looming Tower's popularity could sweep in Bill Camp and Tahar Rahim, but they are the lesser known of the bunch. Brandon Victor Dixon earned raves for Jesus Christ Superstar, but these live musical productions have never managed acting nods before. Previous nominee Jason Ritter should be in the mix for The Tale, Bill Pullman could follow up his Critics Choice nomination, and popular Emmy favorites like Michael Kelly, Beau Bridges, and Dylan Baker should not be discounted.
