The Oscar Narrative: Post Venice/Telluride/Toronto Nomination Predictions - Best Supporting Actress

Post Venice/Telluride/Toronto Nomination Predictions
Emily Blunt "The Smashing Machine"
Elle Fanning "Sentimental Value"
Ariana Grande "Wicked: For Good"
Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas "Sentimental Value"
Teyana Taylor "One Battle After Another"

Other Contenders - Gwyneth Paltrow "Marty Supreme", Amy Madigan "Weapons", Laura Dern "Jay Kelly", Glenn Close "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery", Regina Hall "One Battle After Another", Emily Watson "Hamnet", Odessa A'zion "Marty Supreme", Fran Drescher "Marty Supreme", Nina Hoss "Hedda", Wunmi Mosaku "Sinners", Hailee Steinfeld "Sinners", Rebecca Ferguson "A House of Dynamite", Jennifer Lopez "The Kiss of the Spider Woman", Kirsten Dunst "Roofman", Mariam Afshari "It Was Just an Accident", Felicity Jones "Train Dreams", Ayo Edebiri "After the Hunt", America Ferrera "The Lost Bus", Zoey Deutch "Nouvelle Vague", Margaret Qualley "Blue Moon"

Commentary - This race has blown wide open with a ton of interest narratives that could play out over the next couple of months. I still feel good, at the moment, with Ariana Grande. Unless the completely divebomb in part two, we know voters love her character and his film franchise. I also still feel good about Emily Blunt, who got great reviews for The Smashing Machine. After her Oppenheimer nomination, I feel like she is finally in the Academy's good graces. We often see follow up nominations come soon after they finally break that seal. Sentimental Value continues to impress across the film festival world, and Elle Fanning's performance is getting a ton of buzz (but she could either be joined, or knocked out by her co-star Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas). Finally, after the explosive reviews and solid box office start, One Battle After Another could be the one to beat in this Oscar race. Right now I have both of the jaw-dropping turns by Teyana Taylor and Chase Infinity in the top five. That might be a pipe-dream, but I think voters are going to eat this project up. Beyond those five, I have the previously mentioned Lilleas and Gwyneth Paltrow. Honestly, until we see Marty Supreme, it is just speculation that she is a big contender, and she has co-stars like Odessa A'zion and Fran Drescher that could end up being the bigger play in this category. Amy Madigan is hoping for a solid run after the success of Weapons and the campaign that is being put behind it. After the success of The Substance last year, both it and Sinners (including their contenders here Wunmi Mosaku and Hailee Steinfeld), are hoping that their genre trappings are no longer a hinderance to Oscar success. Beyond that you have some previous winners and nominees like Laura Dern, Glenn Close, Emily Watson, Kirsten Dunst, Felicity Jones, and America Ferrera hopping to return to the race. Throw in the veterans and newcomers looking for their first shot like Regina Hall, Nina Hoss, Rebecca Ferguson, Jennifer Lopez, Marian Afshari, Zoey Deutch, Ayo Edibiri, and Margaret Qualley, and you have a great race to watch.

15th Annual Awards Psychic Television Award Winners

Best Drama Series
Winner - (TIE) The Pitt and Severance
Runners Up - Andor, The Diplomat, Heartstopper, Industry, and The White Lotus
Commentary - What a year for this category after some less than stellar years. I could not choose between these two, so I picked both! My party, my rules. Severance raised the bar in its second season as it just continued to be provocative, heartbreaking, beautifully constructed, and unsettling to watch. The Pitt was such a welcomed surprise, leveling up the usual medical drama with superb acting, tense drama, and a surprise dose of humor and heartbreak. Both series prove that television is still in a golden age of greatness.

Best Comedy Series
Winner - Somebody Somewhere
Runners Up - Abbott Elementary, Hacks, Mid-Century Modern, Overcompensating
Commentary - After three glorious seasons, Somebody Somewhere finally won an Emmy, a well overdue recognition for one of its stars Jeff Hiller (See Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series below). This series could have had 12 seasons and probably never got old, but something is poignant about its short journey. Somebody Somewhere is a snapshot of life. Regular people living in a regular place doing regular things. They deal with change, heartbreak, family loss, health issues, marriage, divorce, friendship, and work. It is a slice of life of a band of misfits who found family and love in unexpected places, whose flawed humanity showed us the darkness and the light of even the smallest moments in life. One minute you were laughing so hard you thought you were going to pee, the next moment you are bawling your eyes out, then in just the right moments you are grinning ear to ear with goosebumps because your favorite characters are finally feeling joy. A beautiful series that everyone, no matter who you are, needs to see. Congrats to the whole team for this quietly stunning achievement.

Best Actor in a Drama Series
Winner - Noah Wyle "The Pitt"
Runners Up - Sterling K. Brown "Paradise", Gary Oldman "Slow Horses", Adam Scott "Severance"
Commentary - One of my favorite moments at the Emmys was seeing the great Noah Wyle finally win an Emmy after decades in the television game. He is the true star of The Pitt, balancing an aged and gruff exterior, with a leading charisma that has never faded. Thank you to the folks behind The Pitt for finally giving him the vehicle to get him the due he has long deserved.

Best Actress in a Drama Series
Winner - Kathy Bates "Matlock"
Runners Up - Sharon Horgan "Bad Sisters", Britt Lower "Severance", Keri Russell "The Diplomat"
Winner - Kathy Bates return to TV as the incomparable Matlock could have been another CBS procedural with low chemistry, cheesy plots, and eye rolling twist. Matlock was such so refreshing, as by the end of the its first episode you already know this was not your normal legal procedural. At its heart is a phenomenal performance from one of our greats, Kathy Bates. She balances out her two personas perfectly, is charming, witty, emotionally wrought, and is the soul that keeps the show fresh and entertaining. So happy to have her back on our television screens.

Best Actor in a Comedy Series
Winner - Benito Skinner "Overcompensating"
Runners Up - Adam Brody "Nobody Wants This", John Goodman "The Righteous Gemstones", Martin Short "Only Murders in the Building"
Commentary - Benito Skinner's irreverent, funny, and timely humor are the center of the breakthrough series Overcompensating. His anxiety, and his charisma center the show's narrative which showcases a new television star to watch out for moving forward.

Best Actress in a Comedy Series
Winner - Edi Patterson "The Righteous Gemstones"
Runners Up - Quinta Brunson "Abbott Elementary", Bridget Everett "Somebody Somewhere", Jean Smart "Hacks"
Commentary - The Righteous Gemstones is one of the raunchiest, most ridiculous comedy series of the last several years, but it also has a sly, and surprising brilliance to its chaos. The men that starred in the series were all great. They were the bigger names, and at first, they probably had the better scenes. But by the end of the series, I know I just wanted to see more of Judy on my screen. That was because of the outrageous talent, jaw-dropping ferocity, and hilarity of the amazing Edi Patterson. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Winner - Tramell Tillman "Severance"
Runners Up - Zach Cherry "Severance", Walton Goggins "The White Lotus", James Marsden "Paradise", Sam Nivola "The White Lotus", Sam Rockwell "The White Lotus",
Winner - Tramell Tillman became the first black actor to ever win this award at the Emmy Awards last weekend. First, it was a great moment that was long overdue. Second, he was so deserving. As the season of Severance was unfolding, audiences and critics took notice of this great veteran actor, over the series bigger names. They kept saying, "he is the character to watch". They were right, and the buzz grew into an organic campaign to reward the best, not the biggest name, the best. I'm glad the campaign paid off.

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Winner - Carrie Coon "The White Lotus"
Runners Up - Patricia Arquette "Severance", Parker Posey "The White Lotus", Aimee Lou Wood "The White Lotus"
Commentary - Carrie Coon's character in The White Lotus had one of the most fascinating journeys throughout the season, especially when playing off of her co-stars Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan. The slow burn of her character leading to an explosive finale could have been over-wrought, to quick of a shift, and maybe just a little unbelievable. But by the time the finale rolled around you truly understood and felt her character's whole journey. That is a testament to Carrie Coon, one of our finest, underrated, and versatile modern performers.

Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Winner - Jeff Hiller "Somebody Somewhere"
Runners Up - Ike Barinholtz "The Studio", Paul W. Downs "Hacks", Harrison Ford "Shrinking", Michael Urie "Shrinking"
Commentary - I was literally screaming at the television in pure joy when Jeff Hiller shocked everyone with a well-deserved Emmy win. In the show's finale season, we really see Joel step into his character, navigate what he really wants in life, and showcase a humor, grace, and sadness that was such a pivotal part of the shows brilliant success.

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Winner - Liza Colon-Zayas "The Bear"
Runners Up - Hannah Einbinder "Hacks", Linda Lavin "Mid-Century Modern", Meg Stalter "Hacks"
Commentary - Liza Colon-Zayas remains one of the brightest lights of The Bear even though the show has not so slowly declined in quality. She is just one of those characters and performances that lights up every scene she is in, without, at least it seems like without much effort. She is such a heart and soul of that great cast, and I'm so glad she has gotten her flowers in recent years.

Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series
Winner - Shawn Hatosy "The Pitt"
Runners Up - Ben Mendelsohn "Andor", Jeffrey Wright "The Last of Us"
Commentary - Such a deserving win for veteran Shawn Hatosy, whose guest performance on The Pitt was riveting, brilliantly constructed, and pivotal to the plot.

Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series
Winner  - Kaitlyn Dever "The Last of Us"
Runners Up - Gwendoline Christie "Severance", Catherine O'Hara "The Last of Us", Stacie Greenwell "The Pitt"
Commentary - According to interviews, Dever filmed her heartbreaking turn in this season of The Last of Us during a personal tragedy. That is why her brilliant performance had such a huge does of authenticity as it lit up the screen.

Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series
Winner - Bryan Cranston "The Studio"
Runners Up - Jon Bernthal "The Bear", John Mulaney "Saturday Night Live"
Commentary - Of all of the beefed up guest performances on The Studio, Bryan Cranston's was the most lively and interesting.

Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series
Winner - Julianne Nicholson "Hacks"
Runners Up - Olivia Colman "The Bear", Robbie Hoffman "Hacks", Kaitlin Olson "Abbott Elementary" and Hacks"
Commentary - What a great Emmy win for Julianne Nicholson's whose guest turn in this season of Hacks was fantastic.

Best Directing in a Drama Series
Winner - Amanda Marsalis "The Pitt- 6:00 P.M."
Runners Up - Janus Metz "Andor - Who Are You?", Ben Stiller "Severance - Cold Harbor"
Commentary - The Pitt's gritty tension is the sign of a fantastic directing. The 6:00 p.m. episode in particular was a fantastic showcase of Marsalis' skill.

Best Writing in a Drama Series
Winner - Dan Erickson "Severance - Cold Harbor"
Runners Up - Dan Gilroy and Tony Gilroy "Andor - Welcome to the Rebellion", Joe Sachs "The Pitt - 2:00 P.M.", Mike White "The White Lotus - Full-Moon Party"
Commentary - Severance is just so clever and has so much depth. The brilliant writing Cold Harbor is a masterclass in storytelling.

Best Directing in a Comedy Series
Winner - Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg "The Studio - The Oner"
Runners Up - Randall Einhorn "Abbott Elementary - Please Touch Museum", Lucia Aniello "Hacks - A Slippery Slope", Lennon Parham "Somebody Somewhere - AGG"
Commentary - This episode of The Studio has some fancy and fun directing tricks and cool shots that are fantastic to watch.

Best Writing in a Comedy Series
Winner - Hannah Bos, Paul Thureen, Bridget Everett "Somebody Somewhere - AGG"
Runners Up - Quinta Brunson "Abbott Elementary - Back to School", Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, Jen Statsky "Hacks - A Slippery Slope",
Commentary - See Best Comedy Series.

Best Limited Series
Winner - Adolescence
Runners Up - Dying for Sex, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, The Penguin
Commentary - What an amazing and haunting limited series that explores the unthinkable. From its brilliant cast, to its haunting story, to is brilliant one-shot direction of each episode, Adolescence is one that we will not forget anytime soon.

Best Television Movie
Winner - Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
Runner Up - Rebel Ridge
Commentary - Rebel Ridge was an emotionally effective drama, but the triumphant return to Bridget Jones' world was too fun to pass up rewarding.

Best Actor in a Limited Series/TV Movie
Winner - Colin Farrell "The Penguin"
Runner Up - Paul Giamatti "Black Mirror", Brian Tyree Henry "Dope Thief", Cooper Koch "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story"

Best Actress in a Limited Series/TV Movie
Will Win - Cristin Milioti "The Penguin"
Runners Up - Rashida Jones "Black Mirror", Michelle Williams "Dying for Sex", Renee Zellweger "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy"
Commentary - Cristin Milioti has been cranking out great roles for years, and I so happy to finally see her get her due in a fantastic performance in The Penguin.

Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series/TV Movie
Winner - Owen Cooper "Adolescence"
Runners Up - Javier Bardem "Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story", Rob Delaney "Dying for Sex", Bill Camp "Presumed Innocent", Peter Saarsgard "Presumed Innocent"

Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series/TV Movie

Best Variety Series
Winner - The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
Runners Up - Saturday Night Live, Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, The Daily Show
Commentary - I genuinely hope that the cancellation of The Late Show was a financial decision, and not a bow to political pressures. We need voices like Colbert on the air, and his version of The Late Show is a vital American asset that will be sorely missed.

Best Variety Special
Winner - SNL50: The Anniversary Special
Runners Up - The Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show Starring Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé Bowl, Conan O'Brien: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize For American Humor
Commentary - It was messy, but it was everything we could have hoped for to celebrate half a century of one of the greatest shows of American television. A fun and wonderful celebration.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Drama and Comedy Series

Best Drama Series
Will Win - Severance
Could Win - The Pitt
Should Win - Severance or The Pitt
Commentary - A great battle is brewing between Severance and The Pitt. Severance started off easily in the lead, with a fantastic season that really became a television phenomenon. But the scrappy folks at HBO are banking on an upset from The Pitt, a fantastic gritty series that has come on strong at the right time. Either way, a great series is winning.

Best Comedy Series
Will Win - The Studio
Could Win - Hacks
Should Win - Hacks or Abbott Elementary
Commentary - The Studio just blew the water out of Emmy nods this year, did exceptionally well at the Creative Arts Emmys, as is the star-studded story about the industry that voters love. But Hacks surprised before, so don't think anything is set in stone.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Actor and Actress in a Drama Series

Best Actor in a Drama Series
Will Win - Noah Wyle "The Pitt"
Could Win - Adam Scott "Severance"
Should Win - Noah Wyle "The Pitt"
Commentary - Adam Scott could easily win on the back of the popularity of Severance. But The Pitt is scrappy, and there is a consensus growing that Emmy voters will give longtime veteran Noah Wyle a well-deserved Emmy award.

Best Actress in a Drama Series
Will Win - Kathy Bates "Matlock"
Could Win - Britt Lower "Severance"
Should Win - Kathy Bates "Matlock"
Commentary - Kathy Bates returning to a big series like Matlock has been the story of the television series. She is a huge Emmy favorite with several trophies and she is fantastic in the series, which proves that broadcast still has some juice left.  But, she is in a series not nominated for the top prize, so don't be surprised with a Britt Lower upset.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series

Best Actor in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Seth Rogen "The Studio"
Could Win - Martin Short "Only Murders in the Building" or Jeremy Allen White "The Bear"
Should Win - Martin Short "Only Murders in the Building"
Commentary - SAG's surprise winner, the legendary Martin Short could upset, but all signs point to the power of The Studio propelling Seth Rogen to a win here.

Best Actress in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Jean Smart "Hacks"
Could Win - Kristen Bell "Nobody Wants This", Ayo Edebiri "The Bear", Quinta Brunson "Abbott Elementary"
Should Win - Jean Smart "Hacks"
Commentary - Could someone finally upset Jean Smart? Absolutely. Am I betting on it? Absolutely not.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress in a Drama Series

Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Will Win - Tramell Tillman "Severance"
Could Win - Walton Goggins "The White Lotus"
Should Win - Tramell Tillman "Severance" or Walton Goggins "The White Lotus"
Commentary - A great race is brewing between two great veterans with fantastic performances. Goggins has never won an Emmy, overdue with a big splashy performance could sway voters. But I think the surge of love for Tramell Tillman, whose buzz pushed him into this race, will help him cross the finish line.

Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Will Win - Carrie Coon "The White Lotus"
Could Win - Katherine LaNasa "The Pitt", Parker Posey "The White Lotus", or Aimee Lee Wood "The White Lotus"
Should Win - Carrie Coon "The White Lotus" or Katherine LaNasa "The Pitt"
Commentary - A great race is brewing. Carrie Coon had a great summer with both The White Lotus and The Gilded Age, and is the best performance of The White Lotus cast nominated here. But Katherine LaNasa has an impressive turn in The Pitt, and could benefit from some vote splitting. Let's face it, none of these White Lotus stars this year have the buzz that Jennifer Coolidge had to overcome vote splitting. There is also a chance that the buzzy performances of Parker Posey and Aimee Lee Wood from The White Lotus are more popular than Coon this year.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Harrison Ford "Shrinking"
Could Win - Ike Barinholtz "The Studio"
Should Win - Jeff Hiller "Somebody Somewhere"
Commentary - Is there going to be a Studio sweep like some shows have had in recent memory? Or will they be better about spreading the love like the last two years or so? I am going with spreading the love. This is Harrison Ford's first Emmy nomination. He is a living legend, is great on the show (which is nominated for Comedy Series), and has a ton of buzz. But Ike Barinholtz is great in The Studio, and if it is sweeping, he might get carried along with it. On a personal note, everyone should have voted for Jeff Hiller.

Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Hannah Einbinder "Hacks"
Could Win - Catherine O'Hara "The Studio"
Should Win - Hannah Einbinder "Hacks"
Commentary - I really can't lose here, and the same question that I have for Supporting Actor reigns true here as well. Is there going to be a Studio sweep? If so, the great Catherine O'Hara wins another well-deserved Emmy. If not, then watch out for Hannah Einbinder, who won some earlier awards, and gives her best work yet in Hacks.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Directing and Writing in a Comedy and Drama Series

Best Directing in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg "The Studio - The Oner"
Could Win - Ayo Edebiri "The Bear - Napkins" or Lucia Aniello "Hacks - A Slippery Slope"
Should Win - Ayo Edebiri "The Bear - Napkins" or Lucia Aniello "Hacks - A Slippery Slope"
Commentary - The Bear has always done well here, and Hacks should have over the years. However, I think the technical love for The Studio means that this one is a lock for the show.

Best Writing in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, Jen Statsky "Hacks - A Slippery Slope"
Could Win - Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, Frida Perez "The Studio - The Promotion"
Should Win - Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, Jen Statsky "Hacks - A Slippery Slope"; Quinta Brunson "Abbott Elementary - Back to School"; Hannah Bos, Paul Thureen, and Bridget Everett "Somebody Somewhere - AGG"
Commentary - The Studio could be on one of those streaks where it just wins everything. However, Hacks has done well in writing, even it when loses Comedy Series, and it was another strong season. Also, I would always love another Quinta win, or a win (finally) for the incredibly underrated Somebody Somewhere.

Best Directing in a Drama Series
Will Win - Ben Stiller "Severance - Cold Harbor"
Could Win - Amanda Marsalis "The Pitt - 6:00 a.m.", Janus Metz "Andor - Who Are You?
Should Win - Ben Stiller "Severance - Cold Harbor" or Amanda Marsalis "The Pitt - 6:00 a.m."
Commentary - I feel like so many of these categories will come down to Severance or The Pitt. In this case, I feel like an upset by The Pitt would not really that big of an upset. But Severance did so well in the technical categories, its a big name in Ben Stiller, and it is still most likely the Best Drama Series frontrunner.

Best Writing in a Drama Series
Will Win - Dan Erickson "Severance - Cold Harbor"
Could Win - Joe Sachs "The Pitt - 2:00 a.m."
Should Win - Dan Erickson "Severance - Cold Harbor" or Joe Sachs "The Pitt - 2:00 a.m."
Commentary - In this category I feel a little more confident about Severance, for its pure ingenuity and well-written drama.

2025 Emmy Predictions: Best Guest Actor and Guest Actress in a Drama or Comedy Series

Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series
Will Win - Shawn Hatosy "The Pitt"
Could Win - Scott Glenn "The White Lotus" or Jeffrey Wright "The Last of Us"
Should Win - Shawn Hatosy "The Pitt"
Commentary - Of the bunch, I think Shawn Hatosy has the best performance of the bunch. But as we know, these Guest races are always full of surprises. The power of The White Lotus among actors could pull Scott Glenn across the finish line, and do not discount Jeffrey Wright. He is a previous winner, and The Last of Us swept these categories in its first season.

Best Guest Actress in a Drama Series
Will Win - Merritt Wever "Severance"
Could Win - Kaitlyn Dever "The Last of Us" or Catherine O'Hara "The Last of Us"
Should Win - Kaitlyn Dever "The Last of Us"
Commentary - I really thought that this was Kaitlyn Dever's to lose, and I hope she still pulls it off. But the buzz for Merritt Wever, who has surprised before, is growing, and she is in the Best Drama Series frontrunner. I am going with Wever, but secretly rooting for Dever (or of course another Catherine O'Hara win).

Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Bryan Cranston "The Studio"
Could Win - Jon Bernthal "The Bear"
Should Win - Bryan Cranston "The Studio"
Commentary - Is this finally Bryan Cranston's time? I really hope so. He is great in The Studio, but so many nominees in the same category is always a concern. Sometimes it doesn't matter, but if it does, then watch out for Jon Bernthal to benefit from the vote splitting.

Best Guest Actress in a Comedy Series
Will Win - Julianne Nicholson "Hacks"
Could Win - Jamie Lee Curtis "The Bear" or Cynthia Erivo "Poker Face"
Should Win - Julianne Nicholson "Hacks"
Commentary - Jamie Lee Curtis is the returning champ, and Cynthia Erivo is a high-profile nominee in a great role. So this is probably the most exciting race of the bunch. I expect that the fantastic performance of Julianne Nicholson to triumph in a tight race.

2025 Emmy Predictions - Best Limited Series and Television Movie

Best Limited Series
Will Win - Adolescence
Could Win - The Penguin
Should Win - Adolescence
Commentary - The Penguin was way out front, but like last year's Baby Reindeer phenomenon, the Brits with their later entry of Adolescence looks to take this one at the finish line.

Best Television Movie
Will Win - Rebel Ridge
Could Win - Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy or Mountainhead
Should Win - Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
Commentary - I personally loved the return to the world of Bridget Jones, but I think that the emotional Rebel Ridge will triumph.

2025 Emmy Predictions - Best Actor and Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie

Best Actor in a Limited Series or Television Movie
Will Win - Colin Farrell "The Penguin"
Should Win - Colin Farrell "The Penguin"
Could Win - Stephen Graham "Adolescence"
Commentary - This one is interesting. Colin Farrell did well in the winter awards, and he is still the odds-on favorite to win. But if Adolescence is as strong as we thing, then I would not be surprised with an upset by Stephen Graham, who is devastating in the role.

Best Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie
Will Win - Cristin Milioti "The Penguin"
Should Win - Cristin Milioti "The Penguin"
Could Win - Michelle Williams "Dying for Sex"
Commentary - Again, this looks like Cristin Milioti's to lose. But she is going up against a previous Emmy winner with another banner performance. Milioti most likely will win, but don't be surprised if you hear Michelle William's name.

2025 Emmy Predictions - Best Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie

Best Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Television Movie
Will Win - Owen Cooper "Adolescence"
Could Win - Javier Bardem "Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story"
Should Win - Owen Cooper "Adolescence"
Commentary - Owen Cooper's jaw-dropping performance, one of the most extraordinary we have seen from someone so young in years, looks like it is going to pull this off, and rightfully so, it is easily the best of the bunch. Can someone beat him? Absolutely, it's the Emmys. Look out for the legendary Javier Bardem to spoil.

Best Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie
Will Win - Erin Doherty "Adolescence"
Could Win - Jenny Slate "Dying for Sex" or Deirdre O'Connell "The Penguin"
Should Win - Erin Doherty "Adolescence"
Commentary - Jenny Slate is a tough competitor, and I am hearing a lot of love for Deirdre O'Connell, but I think that Erin Doherty's jaw-dropping emotional performance is the one to beat.
