Commentary - All six nominees from last year are returning, and throw in previous nominees like the rest of the Modern Family guys, and Fred Armisen. There are some newer contenders like Louie Anderson, David Alan Grier, the guys from The Real O'Neals, Life in Pieces, Malcolm McDowell, Sam Elliot, and the crazy popular cast of Wet Hot American Summer, but I'm not sure any of those shows are going to be the Emmy voters' radars, let alone the casts and crews. Then there are the additions from other casts to the nominees. Can any of the other guys from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Veep, Girls or Peele make the cut? What about one or more of the guys from SNL, Jane the Virgin, Shameless, Silicon Valley, black-ish, or Grace and Frankie? At this early stage I am confident to say that a lot of last year's nominees will return, but as we know, there is usually always one surprise.
