Commentary - I think this is going to be a repeat of last year, where the upstart beats the veteran on the same show. Cox is a legend, and Bateman could benefit from vote splitting, but if voters are watching Succession, which they clearly are, then I think that Jeremy Strong will be this year's Jodie Comer.
Best Actress in a Drama Series
Will Win - Jennifer Aniston "The Morning Show"
Could Win - Olivia Colman "The Crown" or Laura Linney "Ozark"
Should Win - Aniston or Colman
Commentary - When The Morning Show missed out on Drama Series, I thought Aniston was out. But it also missed out on Ensemble, and she won anyway at SAG. Laura Linney had a great season, and is probably the safer pick. Colman won the Globe, and is a recent Oscar winner, and follows in the footsteps of Claire Foy, who won this award. But I am sticking with Aniston. She was mesmerizing in The Morning Show, and it made for a hell of a television comeback. Voters love her, they love a great story, and Aniston fits both narratives.
