Commentary - I would love to see Glatter finally win for Homeland's superb final season. But I think this one is between Aberfan from The Crown and This is Not for Tears from Succession. I think that they are actually going to split these awards. The Crown won for directing the last time it was nominated, and Aberfan is just jaw-dropping good. But I could see Succession sweeping, and carrying this prize along with the other one.

Should Win - Jesse Armstrong "Succession - This is Not for Tears"
Commentary - This is the other category. Succession even managed to win this across the pond at the BAFTA awards, and it won this category last year. Plus, like Aberfan is a directing showcase, This is Not for Tears is a writing showcase. But I could also see these two episodes flipping, one of them winning both, and of course at the Emmys, there is always room for a surprise.
