Runners Up - Dana Carvey "SNL" and Billy Crystal "The 70th Annual Academy Awards"
Commentary - Before SNL was a late night staple, and before the explosion of variety series that now exists, The Carol Burnett Show was legendary. It was eleven years of pure comedic bliss. In total, the show won 8 Golden Globes and 25 Emmy Awards over the course of its history. And it was never just Carol that made the show what it was, the supporting players added so much as well. Vicki Lawrence and Tim Conway, were my personal favorites, and their work was deservedly rewarded with a butt load of honors. I am proud to add one more to their load.
