WAFCA and BSFC (which announces its nominees today) are on the second tier of critics groups behind the more prestigious LAFCA (which also announces today), and NYFCC, but both have been relatively accurate barometers of the Oscar race and many of their winners have gone on to be surefire nominees, and in many cases, surefire winners.
