Commentary: Once again, after passing the Top 5, it was hard to fill out the rest. Once again, we have the token animated film, and a damn good one, if I might say so myself, The Incredibles. Next, I went with the Director/Picture theory, with the dark, yet stunning Vera Drake. Next I went with Golden Globe Best Picture nominee and popular movie that year, Hotel Rwanda. The last two spots were shots in the dark, so I went with the gritty Collateral and the quirky Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Michael Mann use to be popular in the Academy, and ESSM cleaned up pretty well in nominations and won the Original Screenplay category, so it must have been well liked.
