Best Music Video
Will Win - Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus "Old Town Road"
Could Win - Gary Clark Jr. "This Land"
Should Win - Gary Clark Jr. "This Land"
Commentary- If voters are actually paying attention to the quality of the video, then Gary Clark Jr. should easily win here, and he could. But I think voters are going to use this as another way to reward Old Town Road, one of the biggest music hits of the year.
Best Music Film
Will Win - Beyonce "Homecoming"
Could Win - David Crosby "Remember My Name" or Birth of Cool
Should Win - Homecoming
Commentary - Beyonce is still popular with voters, scoring nods for The Gift in top categories. Expect her Homecoming to do very well here.
Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media
Will Win - A Star is Born
Could Win - Rocketman or The Lion King
Should Win - A Star is Born
Commentary - It has been so long since A Star is Born was in the awards conversation, but its music was fantastic, and should win here. Watch out for Rocketman, as Elton John and Taron Egerton just won Globes, and are on voters minds, and for The Lion King, with Jon Favreau and Hans Zimmer's names attached as producer credits.
Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media
Will Win - Hildur Guonadottir "Chernobyl"
Could Win - Really any of them
Should Win - Ramin Djawadi "Game of Thrones"
Commentary - Love or hate the last season of Game of Thrones, I think Djawadi should win here. But I think that Hildur Guonadottir, who won the Emmy for this, and is out front for the Oscar for score, is going to use her new found celebrity to be Game Of Thrones, and the other three albums that were created by beloved legends.
Best Song Written for Visual Media
Will Win - Beyonce "Spirit"
Could Win - Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper "I'll Never Love Again", Dolly Parton "Girl in the Movies"
Should Win - Dolly Parton "Girl in the Movies"
Commentary - Everyone is predicting the Shallow followup to win here, which is probably will. Instead, I am going with Spirit, which got love in other categories.
