Commentary - There is a big question in this category, can The Handmaid's Tale get three nominees in? I think the answer is yes. Samira Wiley was nominated in Supporting Actress last year, Cherry Jones is a beloved veteran and Emmy winner, and while Marisa Tomei has never been nominated for an Emmy, she is an Oscar winning movie star, and Emmy voters eat that up. I think previous nominees Diana Rigg and Cicely Tyson are in as well, leaving one spot. I am putting Margo Martindale in for The Good Fight because she has become one of those actors that can easily get a nod. But I think Pam Grier, last year's nominee Laverne Cox, Jodi Balfor, and Carrie Preston, who has won for this character before, are all ready for the spoils. I would also not discount the HTWAWM and Scandal crossover helping Viola Davis and Kerry Washington. I would personally include Rinko Kikuchi for a stunning Westworld episdoe, and Jane Lynch, Lena Waithe, Alfre Woodard, Judith Light, and Andrea Martin are all popular veterans.
