Commentary - When the Matlida quartet was wrongly disqualified from this category, the immediate frontrunner became Patina Miller, who was nominated recently for Sister Act, and is considered a young, up and coming talent on the Broadway stage. But in the weeks since the nominations, more and more buzz is growing for the new Cinderella, Laura Osnes, who was nominated last year for Bonnie and Clyde. She not only brought the character back to life, but, according to reviews, she made it her own. That is impressive, and it could be enough to turn the tide and upset Miller.
