Don Cheadle "Black Monday"
Ted Danson "The Good Place"
Larry David "Curb Your Enthusiasm"
Michael Douglas "The Kominsky Method"
Eugene Levy "Schitt's Creek"
Ramy Youssef "Ramy"
Other Contenders - Steve Carell "Space Force", Anthony Anderson "black-ish", Ricky Gervais "After Life", Domnhall Gleeson "Run", Andy Samberg "Brooklyn Nine-Nine", Ben Feldman "Superstore", Dave Burd "Dave", Hugh Laurie "Avenue 5"
Commentary - I think Anthony Anderson, unfortunately, drops out this year, to make room for Larry David to return, again, for no good reason. I expect Danson, Cheadle, Douglas, and Levy to return as well. In the final slot ,which could for Carell (Space Force sucked, so I hope not), Anderson, Gervais (please not again), Gleeson (Run sucked), Samberg, Feldom, Burd, or Laurie, I think instead will go for Ramy Youssef, who won the Golden Globe this year.
Best Actress in a Comedy Series
Pamela Adlon "Better Things"
Christina Applegate "Dead to Me"
Rachel Brosnahan "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel"
Linda Cardellini "Dead to Me"
Linda Cardellini "Dead to Me"
Catherine O'Hara "Schitt's Creek"
Issa Rae "Insecure"
Other Contenders - Elle Fanning "The Great", Merritt Wever "Run", Awkwafina "Awakwafina is...Nora From Queens", Lily Tomlin "Grace and Frankie", Jane Fonda "Grace and Frankie", Tracee Ellis Ross "black-ish", Jane Levy "Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist"
Commentary - So we know Applegate, Brosnahan, and O'Hara are returning, and the win is probably between those three. I also think Rae and Adlon will return as their shows are gaining in buzz. Finally, I am going with Cardellini, who will benefit from so much buzz for Dead to Me. But watch out for Elle Fanning, Merritt Weer, Awkwafina, plus old favorites like Tomlin, Fonda, and Ross, and newcomer Levy.
No love for Kristen Bell?
