Tatiana Maslany, The Big Bang Theory, Louie, and Breaking Bad continued their trek through the critics circuit this year all taking top prizes. Breaking Bad in particular, while it lost the Drama Series, did take home Program of the Year, only helping boost its Emmy profile. I was really surprises, delightfully so, by the inclusion of Parks and Recreation alongside the more obvious choice of The Big Bang Theory. I also loved the win for the cancelled Bunheads. It was such a refreshing show on television and it is a shame that it is gone too soon. Also, while almost completely ignored by Emmy voters, it was nice to see The Americans take home some recognition. It was also a bit surprising (I know I predicted it, but in the back of my mind I thought I would be wrong) considering it beat the uberly popular House of Cards in the process.
