Commentary - Say what you will, but in my opinion, Marlon Brando is the greatest American male actor of all time. His roles are iconic, his movies the best of all time, his personal decisions controversial, and his legend revered. And Brando was no better than in Coppola's 1972 classic The Godfather. As Vito Corleone, Brando created one of the greatest screen characters of all time, and both astonished us with his acting abilities and scared the hell out of us. A truly winning performance.
