We know most likely that the films in the Contemporary category are out (although there is really some excellent work there which is a shame), but the Fantasy and Period categories may help us foresee the Costume Design category at the Oscars. I will also note that borderline contenders Dallas Buyers Club and Her continue to do well at the guilds, and Saving Mr. Banks finally gets some love outside of the PGA. My updated Costume Design predictions are 12 Years, American Hustle, The Great Gatsby, Oz the Great and Powerful, and Saving Mr. Banks.
