Weinstein Buys The Iron Lady

Well, after last year's success about powerful British people, Weinstein is looking to strike gold again buying up Meryl Streep's The Iron Lady. This could signal good news for Streep who is still looking for that third Academy Award. A couple of years ago, The Reader has so-so reviews and terrible box office, but with Weinstein behind it, it managed to grab a Best Picture nod, and Kate Winslet finally won her Oscar. Last year, The King's Speech overcame a Social Network critics sweep to win four Oscars including Best Picture. With this kind of track record, we might finally see Streep win the gold again.
